metal bumper logo

so, theres a metal/plastic bumper logo on the left side of my rear bumper and I want to take it off, but I dont want to mess up the paint on it, is there any safe way to take it off without ruining the paint? or am I going to have to just rip it off and hope for the best, and if all else fails put something another one over it?

if I need to supply pics I can, but Im hoping somebody out here knows what im talking about.

It would help to know what kind of car you have, probably. Pictures couldn't hurt.

If you are talking about something like a dealer logo that has been stuck on to your bumper, your best bet is goo-gone or WD-40. Spray it on and let it soak, then take some fishing line and run it behind the metal emblem. It should pop right off but you'll prob have to work w/ it to get all of the adhesive off once the emblem/sticker is off. Just take your time and use a hairdryer if you are in a cold place and you should have no problems. Good luck.
:EDIT: Just park your ride in the TX sun and let it get nice and toasty while you spray on your adhesive removal...should be a piece of cake.

Thanks for telling us what worked --- may come in handy in the future. Did you use fishing line?
