I don't know if this is different on an LS1 car, but you just take the bolts out of the little plastic flap near the front air dam and fold it down, reach up and twist the bulb assembly out. It's very easy.

I can't find a socket to fit on them bolts...it just turns, I tried prying it with a flathead screwdriver but to no luck

It's something very small, like 8 or 9mm. They attach to little clips on the front spoiler.

The 93-97 fog lights are a pain in the butt to change, and not at ALL as easy
to do as the 98-02 fog lights. The 93-97 do not have a flap, and as far as I
know taking off the lower side panels will do nothing for changing the bulbs. I
have always, removed the 3 push pins on the center flap behind the nose and
pulled it down to get to the fog lights. Perhaps someone else knows an easy
way, but thats all I found. Going from the front and removing them you run a
risk of dropping the clips into the nose and you have to adjust them after! It
seems that GM must have realized their design mistake.

I have just swapped my front end on my 93 Camaro to a 98 style.

Method 1 requires adjusting the foglight.

Method 2 requires a "go go Gadget" arm.

Either works.

lol, ever since joining this message board a few years ago.... I stopped using my foglights completely. There have been several topics over the years about what a pain in the *** it is to change them.
