making a shaker hood
making a shaker hood
has anyone ever tried to make a shaker hood out of their stock firebird/ta hood. i was thinking about getting a stock hood about $30 from a friends yard and a shaker scoop from a 70's TA from ebay, then getting the deminsions and cutting a hole for it. i know it wouldnt be an air intake but it may help keep the motor alittle cooler and look pretty sweet too. what do you guys think would it work, would it look good, has anyone else done this?
Re: making a shaker hood
im not even worried about the hood i can get it for $30 at a friends yard the only thing i wanna figure out is how to attach it to the motor so i get a little "shaker action" lol
Re: making a shaker hood
id say eithe buy an SS intake for the functional hood and mount it on there securely i know that thing shakes alot. or i would say bolt it directly to the bolts on the manifold itself with some kind of insulator in between the shaker and the manifold
