Major Ant problem!

ok i didnt really know where a post like this belonged so i decided to post it in the appearance section, since i dont like the appearance of ants in my camaro.

Anyways, this weekend there was a big rain storm, my camaro was parked in a wooded area and i believe that i parked near or on a large ant mound and all the ants decided to head for the nearest dry place (my car).

Needless to say, i now have alot of ants and their babies taking refuge in my car. I pulled the A-pillars, kick-panels, knee panels under the dash, door panels, and there are ants everywhere, i also spotting several ants carrying larva up into my dash, and had many ants crawling out of air vents. I also spotted the majority of them going under the carpet when i lifted the kick panel. My question is what is the best way to get rid of almost ALL of these ants? Im slightly OCD and i HATE ants, i keep my car fairly clean and dont eat in there often so i know it doesnt have to do with that, BUT i did read that even a crumb can attract ants, but still. My plan is to pull everything that i can, carpet, un-needed seats, dashpanels etc. and to clean/spray and ant trap as much as i can. Does anyone else have any experience or ideas on dealing with this?

Re: Major Ant problem!

I'd just go to the store and buy a set of insect foggers. If you aren't familiar with what those are, they are just a can of bug spray that you put in an enclosed area and set it off. It completely fills the area with gas for a few hrs, killing everything in there. I did it once on my old car because i use to have to park it under a tree and all sorts of spiders would find their way in there.
