lt1 z28s and the black area under the headlights

Does anyone else REALLY dislike it when that area has been painted the same color as the car? Everytime I see one, I just cant stop thinking how much I dislike that area being the same color as the body.

Just me? or most of you feel the same way?

Ditto. I HATE when it's painted. For some reason I view the whole car as crap after seeing it painted body color.

It's supposed to be black!

I've seen a few cars that somehow look right when it's not black. But most of them don't.

Since it's black, you're okay.

I love having a black car, because that area is painted the same black color - however, it is a glossy, body-paint type, not the flat dull black you find on other colors.

black

I like the foglight area body color on any color car. But, headlight area's only look good on red and black car's IMO

this is precisely the reason why black is the best color

I have to completely agree with Joel on this topic. Black is the best color. It just looks out of place when the headlights are painted body color, but the painted fog lights look good.

Black=

it sora depends on the color of the car whether i like the headlight pockets painted body color...at the very least GM should have painted the pockets GLOSS black....flat black looks GAY...if i had a color other than black my headlight pockets would be gloss

Do what I did, get the front black areas repainted in gloss black instead of that flat bumper-black color. It made a world of difference! That being said, I think some white and red cars look OK with body color light pockets. It really depends on the car.

Example of what not to do

Good Example

For the most part I agree that it doesnt look right, but there are some cases that it does look pretty decent and im going to have to disagree with the above poster because I think both examples look pretty good the way they are. That silver actually looks pretty classy to me personally.
