Smile LT1 to LS1 Front End Conversion Part Numbers

Here are all the GM part numbers I have found that are needed to do a complete LT1 to LS1 front end conversion for Camaro's.

Std. Hood 10438613
SS Hood 12369963
Fenders LH 10419546 RH 10419545
Fender Up L Brace (fender to core support) 10414405 RH & LH

Frt. Fascia (Bumper) 12335525
Frt. Bumper Absorber 10272196
Frt. Bumper Reinforcement Bar 10272185
Frt. Bumper Upper Mount 10280358 (Replaces headlamp bar, this is the # stamped into part, this # has been replaced by GM and I don't have it yet)
Frt. Bumper to Fender L Plate reinforcement
LH 10409247 RH 10409246

Headlamp LH 16525313 RH 16525314
Headlamp Main Bracket LH 10418138 RH 10418137
Headlamp Upper Brace LH 10290656 RH 10290655
Headlamp Lower brace LH 10290658 RH 10290657
Headlamp and Fender Support Bracket
LH 10414796 RH 10414795

Foglamp LH 10280986 RH 10280985
Foglamp Brace LH 10297392 RH 10297391
Foglamp pigtails are different but the LT1 style does work, clip is on wrong side (I don't have #'s)

Emblems
Red, White & Blue Nose 10193494
Z28 Fender 10139552
Silver SS Fender 12369966
Red SS Fender 12369965
35th Anniv. SS Fender 10307879

Front Fender Rear Molding LH 88892066 RH 8892067

Every part # shown is a valid GM # (except the front bumper upper mount). Everything else bolts on to the newer front end (lower splash shields, front air dam etc.). I hope this will help someone out.

Talking EBAY

Most of them from ebay! Also got an SS hood on ebay from a guy who luckily lives 2 miles from me for $550.00. Total I think I spent around $1100.00. Most of the parts are cheaper to buy from GM than the junkyards (not all, but alot). Good luck!

FRONTEND SWAP

I was thinking of doing this swap. How hard was this to do? After getting all the parts did it just bolt on, or did you have to modify anything? Also are from the doors back the same for all the years the same except for the spoiler and tail lights. I have a 93 Z28 and I want to make it look like a new SS. There is a camaro on Page 4 of the new RKSPORT 2003 enhancement catalog that is sweet. Thanks for the part #'s.

Thumbs up

Sent you e-mail chasmanz28, sorry for the length! As far as the rest of the car, it is the same. I had no problems just bolting the front end on. I had seen on this board that someone once said that the LS1 front end was a little shorter than the LT1, but not in my experience. Everything was pretty simple.
