Is black the only color and what else do you need to install them ?

 

Black is the only oem color but people fill in the vette letters and paint them to match all the time.

The other thread you posted in has all the stuff you need listed in it

 

If you are talking about the vette ones, they only came in black with red letters or red with black letters. You can order them from Summit, the part numbers and prices are below:

I saw that summit catolog and I think they screwed up. Those covers look like they go on the ls1 motor and not the lt1

 

Those are for a ls1 not a lt1 the lt1 versions only come in black like I said no red letters just black with a recessed "corvette" in them.
