Re: LT-1 People... Cassette Holder Mods

I just cut a piece of 3/4" plexi, painted the back, and edge lighted it blue to match the rest of the interior/guage lights.

Dreamer, what year and model of Mustang is that insert from. I have a 96 Z28 with the 98 and newer console and that insert looks to fill up the empty space nicely.

L32CamaroM5, I did make it myself. It was easy. Measure the opening, cut out plexiglass, cut holes for guages or switches, and wrap with pleather.

It looks really good, I'll be doing that if I get a 93-96 LT-1 Z as my next car.

Re: LT-1 People... Cassette Holder Mods

Dumb question, but how do you guys make it "stick"

I want to put nitrous and fan switches and maybe my electric cutout switch so I really wouldn't want it floating around

Re: LT-1 People... Cassette Holder Mods

I just use that slot to put my crap in.......chapstick, ID badge for work, gum, maybe some pens, cell phone occasionally.......just stuff that doesn't necessarily needs to be hidden. The console is the spot for more private stuff (checkbook, maybe wallet...)

Though if I really had the need for gauges I'd use that slot......but the space is not such a bad thing to have around...

I used to put all that stuff in there but all that stuff ended up in my lap or all over the inside when the gas pedal is pressed.

Re: LT-1 People... Cassette Holder Mods

Does the later camaro console bolt up to the older consoles? I have a M6 95 and would love to put the 98 plus console in.
