The people I have seen in person with TDs on a TA have either kept tips in the stock locations(fake) or put on a v6/Formula bumper.

How do they keep them there if the exhaust is dumped before the axle? Just find some way to bolt up just the tips?

Re: Looking for pics of Trans Am's with no exhaust tips.

a friend of mine is running long tubes and true duals w/ side exit on hi '01 SOM Formula. before that he was justing running the factory y-pipe and It looked fine w/out the tips out back. after we cut the exhaust off the car he stood on the scale w/ it in his hands and from the i-pipe back weighed a little over 40 lbs. if memory serves correct.

i dont think he's a member here but I know his cardomain name is SOMWS9, he may have updated pics soon w/ the side exit

Re: Looking for pics of Trans Am's with no exhaust tips.

I had mine without tips for a few months when running without a muffler. It looked like something was missing obviously. But when I go with long tubes im going to go true duals dumped, and paint the back lower part of the bumper a shade of black so it may be less noticable without the tips.
