Looking for good hood
Looking for good hood
The 95 Z28 conv. I bought my wife has a SS hood on it and it is straight junk. I don't know what brand it is, but it's got more waves than the ocean. Who makes nice hoods that I won't have 200 hours in straightening out. It sure is easier buying Parts for my 69.
Re: Looking for good hood
Just buy an OEM you will only end up paying a few $100 more for an oem than you would a new glass one. The fit and quality will more than make up for the extra money you spend on the start.
Re: Looking for good hood
Ive installed plenty of hoods and I would say VFN and Harwood are your best bet compared to an OEM hood. I ve spent the same amount of time working OEM hoods too, the nice thing about both Harwood and VFN is they both have unique designs and both have high standards, you get a nice lightweight piece very clean, and strqaight you will be happy. here are some links: www.vfnfiberglass.com and www.eharwood.com also I heard a few years back that Suncoast had some glue issues where the frames were coming apart I dont know if that has changed, also stay away from Unlimited and ram air hoods .com same company I believe
