Looking to completely re-do my interior. Need input.

Hi all,

It's been a while since I've made my way to the appearence forum. I'm needing some help with my next "big" project. My car is a Polo Green '94 Z w/ the tan interior. Being almost 11 years old, the interior is in need of a make-over. I'm planning on totally ripping out everything (except for the dash) and put in all new peices. The biggest decision I have to make is weater I want to keep the tan color scheme. I mean, it looks nice but it seems that the lighter color is more prone to showing every stain and dirt smudge more so than say a grey interior.

So I'm thinking of switching over to a grey interior. Seats from Recaro or something like that. New floor carpeting from FBodyCarpet.com, maybe some LIGHT use of carbon fiber accents.

All you fellow F-body people with green cars, lets see your interiors, expecially you guys with "custom" jobs. I need to get some ideas. Thanks!

I have the same stock setup. polo green with the tan interior...
this is what I planned on doing.

keep carpets headliner and interior panels the same.

black visors.

Two tone black and tan seats from www.leaterseats.com with Z28 embroidered in the headrest
comes with either black or tan vinyl door inserts....

I already got my MBA shift **** with Z28 engraved. (black)

Either tan mats with black embroidery (which I got) or black with tan embroidery....

It should work very well with the dash, but I think that the tan looks very good with the polo green....

If you're looking to do something other than tan, I would suggest substituting everything TAN with CHARCOAL. two tone charcoal and black would look sweet in a green car too. then you could utilize the carbon fiber accents EASILY.

damn i think i just thought of a new idea to replace my own idea!

Can the plastic interior pieces be re-painted? Like I said, the only thing I don't like about the tan is that dirst shows up REAL easy and some of the pieces look faded or have stains that won't come out.

RKSPORT sells interior paints, but if it were me, I would find all used panels... ebay or a junk yard. I would think that the originally dyed plastic would look better... I would only use paints if it were for SMALL areas, like accents.

yeah the tan DOES get dirty easily, I tried cleaning some pieces and it doesn't come off too well.
that darn tan carpet is a B!tch too. same with the headliner especially because i smoke.

I say all black except for the seat inserts, Which would be tan, that would be kind of nice...

I would think vinyl dye would be perfect for changing internal plastic colors.

I have the polo green with black interior and I love it. That may be an option for you if you're tired of the tan leather...
