looking for advice on a car bra....

Not the typical types like the colgan, I have one already.

I recently saw a vette c4 with this fabric "apron" type of bra that looked neat. I was wondering whether such a thing exists for 4th gen camaros. I am looking for something to put on quick and take off, for times when I go on slightly long stretches (not necessarily what I would call a road trip-a road trip I would use my colgan), or for quick trips.

I would even be interested in the plastic clear type, but only if it is a temporary do it yourself deal, that somehow doesn't involve adhesives.

Picky I guess...any advice would be welcomed.

Personally I think Bras to more harm than good. I had one on my car for a few months after I bought it. I bought the car with the Bra, so I'm not sure how long it was on the car. But it turned my paint a blueish color and there were scratches all over the hood and bumper. All it did was trap dust and dirt under it and scratch my paint. So I'd advise against any bra. You're better off just leaving your front end bare.

My colgan works very well, but I never leave mine on for more than a day. The trick is not to get them wet or get things under them.

I just wanted to know of a quick on/off type so that I don't have to go thru the labor of mounting my colgan all the time.

A quick on/off type of bra could be just as bad as one on for an extended period of time. The more you take it on and off, the greaters the chances of the surface of your car being dirty. That of course would be ground into the paint while driving down the road.

Bras are just a bad idea

Dont do it. Bra's will eventually have you painting your car sooner than expected. Plus they never make your car look better. Go get a few coats of clear from maaco just for the front end. That will work better than a bra and be cheaper in the long run

"bra's belong on big-breasted amazon women, not f-body's" lol

Thanks for the replys. For long distance interstate trips I will never travel without a car bra, those rocks will kill you. Local trips though I won't wear one. I was looking for a quick on/off bra just for the short trips.

I will never use the xpel type long term plastic that they put on cars...it defeats the purpose if (when) it leaves marks or discoloration.

Maaco.....................forget it! Thanks anyway.
