Re: Limo tent???

My buddy buys direct from 3M some how, not sure how he does it. I'll see if I can call him tomorrow and see if anyone can do it or if there are some kind of requirments. 3M is a very good tint that alot of the shops use. Just so you know it will be the 5% tint that you'll want.

Re: Limo tent???

measurements? what would you need em for? you need a heat gun, and a spatula (for window tinting) to mold the tint on the window before you cut it..... it needs to be shrunk to fit the window... 3m is good, and yes just about all places that do professional tint use it. just go out and have it done man, save yourself the distress of tryin to do it yourself. with removal of the old tint and everything i have a guy that will tint all my windows out to any density i want for 290 bucks! its worth the money to have it fall on someone elses shoulder if something were to screw up... and you will get a much better job done on your car.... take my advice man, seek a professional.

Re: Limo tent???

Thanks... but I'm pretty confident with tinting it myself. I used to detail cars so I'm pretty good with the heat gun. I don't really have the cash to pay someone else though I need it for other things.

I was asking the measurements so I know what sided tint sheeting I'll need.

Re: Limo tent???

that im not sure, heres what you do.... measure the length from the top of your back window, to the bottom of it, then measure from side to side, add 6 inches to botch measurements, and get 3 sheets that size, just to be safe, you know? although, i dont think you can get a custom sheet, i think they come in 1 size, because a lot of places have to do the rear window in a 2 piece tint splice. so im not sure what you will find. i think the biggest would probably be like 4 feet wide, and whatever the roll is in length... im not sure though, so dont quote me. im just saying man, in order to get the tint, your probably going to have to buy a whole roll... and that can cost some $$$ you know? i dont know if anyone there would just sell you the cut of tint you needed, and then there is the problem of how you would take a few sheets of tint home, without putting a single kink in the film.... i dont know man, if i need tint that bad, ill save the money for it, like im doing now. just dont get that cheap crap from pep boys, bubbles up and turns purple hella fast, and i dont think you can shrink it either.
