Lighting options for T/As? (Birds, Formulas, etc)

Most of us have seen the SLP Firehawk LS1 concept with fixed headlights.

How come no love for the LT1s? Last gen RX7s do it all the time, and the size light is similar. If someone could even do a photochop with a projector light it would be awesome.

Beyond that, anyone tried round lights there? Full size or PIAA size, it doesn't matter. I'd really like to know if anyone has done this, and if any pics are available.

And I don't know if the LT1 fogs are sealed or not, anyone replace them with brighter units of the same size?

Many questions, few answers....

For LT1 bodystyle Firebirds/Trans Am's there are a couple options. there are e-code headlamps from Gm which are way better than stock interms of reflective qualities and they offer the ability for you to change bulbs only, not a sealed beam.

Regarding conversions, someone ffrom the board was going to attempt what you are asking for using Piaa or a similar round light in their Poncho. Not sure on the screen name, he was just waiting to save the money for the lights he wanted last thing i recall. I would do a conversion like this for someone if I had access to their car, some time, and some empty housings to experiment with but no such luck.

There is someone else currently having made a PIAA lazy eyelid setup.

I have bought all the materials to do it (except the PIAA's) and have one eye tore apart and am starting to make my setup, but have been swamped by college work lately, and I can't slack due to trying to graduate on time in May. If all goes well I'll have my setup built by spring when I take the car outta storage.

Not a bulb, but rather a housing that allows you to just change the bulb. Unlike the the crap conversions out there this is a GM made product which was made for overseas spec Firebirds/Trans Am's with much better lighting qualities. Curt, a member of this board has them on his car and told me about them. He tried one of the other brands out there prior to these and can verify their (the GM export) quality. They utilize an H-7 bulb.
