Lighting buffs in here...

I installed a set of 9006 HID's in my Z-28. They almost appear purple at night and look so sweet. What can I do with my fog lights? Here was my idea.

Since I'm really picky about the car looking dead stock, what can I do so get my fogs to match? I was thinking about buying a similar kit and installing them similarly to the way by using silicone. If so would a 9006 kit be okay or is there any better suggestion. I need some ideas here because not having fog lights really sucks.

If you want, take a look at the Hella FF75's. I used these to replace my fogs and they are very close to stock in shape and appearance, but about 100x better functionally.

You're only option if you want to look dead stock is to test out all the different bulbs that fit your factory fog light housings until you find the ones you like with the right color temp. 9006's won't fit into the housing without boring them out - and I wouldn't suggest it even at that - because then you still have to rewire your plug ends to fit the new style bulb.

The stock fog lamp is an 885 - but there aren't many 885 bulbs available in white/purple, etc. But - 885 cross reference's many other bulbs that are lower wattage but available in several brands, colors, etc. So - just start buying bulbs that will fit in the stock fog housings and see which ones you like if you want to look stock.
