Leather seats

Ok so i found leather seat covers for the front seats on ebay my question is what would installing this would entail is it a stock replacement and does it just slid on and its done or is there sewing involved. My drivers seat is in bad shape and want to replace it i have looked everywhere from other forums to craigslist and random websites. The only thing i have found is reupholstery shops that is going to cost like 500 per seat and i would have to get it all done cause they wouldn't match the covers on ebay are 200 for the two front seats. Has anyone done this and how hard was it interior isn't really my specialty so any advice would be appreciated

I don't think we can know how they go on without knowing what you bought . The factory covers just have one plastic clip for the bottom cushion and one for the back part...no sewing they just slide on and attach to a couple velcro strips on the foam. if you bought factory replacements they should work the same and except for the struggle to get the new leather over the foam it should be no big deal.

FWIW the T/A seat covers are harder to install than the camaro. the rears are the same but the front top portions don't just slide down like the camaro do, you have to hogring them down and there is sewing involved to get the accordian pieces in place. i paid a shop $450 to do my front seats. all told i spent around $850-$900 having mine done with buying the hawks kit.

Those look mint! I'll be doing the same thing once I get my set from my buddies '91 Formula.

Did you go ahead and purchase from them? Are you satisfied? Could they stitch the 30th anniversary logo in them? My 97 has 34000 miles on it and is perfect except for the seats. It is so frustrating.

Thanks!
