Lamborgini doors for $35....LOL

Look people only $35 and you too can give yourself Lamborgini doors(well at least a book that tell you how).....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=36475

First of all they're suicide doors...I didn't think that the "gini's" ever had a suicide door but I'm no expert.

I posted this because I thought that the car was someone from this site. I wanted to give them a heads up. I think his username is camarocassinova or something like that.

Thumbs down

Yup, that is CC's car alright. Probably the same person doing that is the same one which used Brent's car along with mine and a few others to promote a headlight conversion kit on there last year. They took my instructions off his install guide word for word and reprinted it to sell with the kit along with some Wal-Mart type lights.

That's like the third guy to use that particular pic of my car. I guess I won't post any more pics of it.

Thanks for the heads up.

Those are suicide doors. They open in reverse. The hinge itself is probably 35 dollars or more. Heh heh. The installation and body work required are a bunch more $ to get it all working.

Lamborghini doors are scissor type doors that lift up and piviot on about 90 degrees strait up to make a right angle with your car.

Gullwing doors attach to the roof and open like a birds wings. (back the future DMC car)

The rollbar is an autopower, then I had it plated chrome. I bought it a few years ago, I dunno if they still sell them, they probably do. I know I have seen them around on f-body websites for sale.

The suicides are a completely custom job. Top to bottom. All of the hinges were hand made, so were the pins. The doors are completely electric now, with no rods inside. You pull the handle, the door pops open. The rest of it looks factory. They made rolled steel (yes, like jessie james does it on his bikes) inserts to cover the area behind the fender which are painted to match. The latch is reversed, and the back of the door is cut into the body and shaved up nicely. They did a 1st class job, but I paid for it. $4500 to be exact. But it is so one of those you get what you pay for things!

I wouldn't say they are anymore dangerous than any other door.
They've just always been call suicide doors.
I guess they might have been more dangerous back in the day.
Not sure how they got that name exactly.
