Kuhmo Tires

Looking for a new set of tires, doing my home work, I found a couple sets of Kuhmo Tires for about $50 a tire and $40 shipping. Anyone have any suggustions on series, size, etc.?

they are pretty decent tires for the price. I've got khumo ecsta supras on mine. Pretty good for street tires and awesome in wet weather.

The tires are good, if you have 17's on go no smaller then 275 on a 40 series.

I recommend the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 tires. I run them in 275/40/17 and pull 1.8 60's on em

They suck,

1. If you ever have to drive in the snow you will have zero traction

2. they have a low wear rating, this means the rubber is soft which will give you good dry and wet traction and this iswhy everyone likes them also because they're cheap, but they will only last 25,000 miles. A good tire will provide good tractiong with a superior tread design but will still be made of harder rubber to last 50,000 miles.

3. the tread looks like it belongs on a rice mobile

I think you should look for cooper cobras, they look nice, the price is okay and they will last for up to 50.000 miles. If anyhing look for a good wear rating, atleast 350.

It is worth spending an extra $30 a tire because the lasting quality will spare you the expense of mounting a new set after only 25,000 miles.

See my above post

As for your #3 what crack are you smoking?
Now certain tread pattersn are rice? LMAO!

No tire will give us great traction in snow. These are powerful cars we are driving not exactly made for the snow

My boss has had these tires on his car for over a year now...over 40k miles and they are probably around 60%worn...that really isn't bad treadlife. (and he DRIVES his car...so it's not like these tires don't get used)

I have the Kumho Ecsta Supra's 275/40/17 on my car. I have had them for about a year and no problems. The handle great, ride good, and are well priced. I would buy ten sets of these before I would buy another set of the Goodyear Eagle f1's that were on the car when I bought it. My tires have about 18k on them and you can hardly tell them from new, with the exception of the front tires as they do wear on the inner and outer tread pretty quickly, especially if your car is out of alignment.
As far as the treadwear rating, I belive they rate a 280, which is quite fair for a z rated tire. Most rate much lower than this, I believe the Michelin Pilots Sports are only rated a 220 maybe for like triple the price.

And also when did tread pattern become a judgment of what is or isn't rice..... thats crazy.
I personally want an aggressive looking tread, not some minivan tire treadpattern.

I wouldn't call any pattern on a 275 rice.....ricers can't even come close to fitting that size. I have Kumho 275/40/17's and I love them so far
