Talking Just painted the hood

I just painted it today Here are some shots unpainted on the car and some right after I clearcoated it.

The hood is on the car now I just have to wait until it completely cures to wetsand and blend everything.

My dad painted the first coat to show me how and I did the rest

It's really not that different than painting with a spray can. Although we bought a 300 dollar paint gun. But, we got a good deal on the gun though it was missing a part and we only had to pay 160

I'll post pics after I blend everything

Well They mixed the paint wrong it doesn't match I got the right color this time and now I gotta re prep and repaint...

do most cowl hoods for LT1's have the stock fake vent things on them? i kinda like the hood like that, but i dont remember seeing it like that before

No, just the ones from www.vfnfiberglass.com come with the fake heat extractors

EDIT: never mind I just remembered there is another site that sells them I just can't remember the link.

Paint colors arent always a perfect match, thats why you blend the panels.

But your supposed to blend them at the same time you did the hood. Otherwise they can cure different and have different shades.

I would have blended it but my car has a blue tint and the paint they gave me the first time had a pink/red tint
