Question Interior paint?

I want to change the color of my interior. Is there a paint out there that has a flex agent in it that I could paint my interior panels with without worrying about it scratching off easily?

If so, where can I get it?

I bought a can from PepBoys, it's interior dye for plastic an vinyl.... I'm still in the process of putting another coat on the dash, and I may need another can. It was only $10. I'm not a big fan of exterior automotive paint being used for interior pieces. I want my interior to be completely black (graphite isn't dark enough), and I'm buying black leather seats. The first thing I painted was the arm rests on the door, came out really good. It still has the exact same texture, but it's black now. I can still put Armor-All. You might want to give it a shot.

nope, it doesn't scratch off...... it's dye, not paint. It actually dyes the plastic and vinyl. The a/c vent all the way on the passenger side broke, and I had my brother buy me another one from the salvage yard, but it was lighter than my other a/c vents, so I painted it, now it's black. Pretty cool stuff, just make sure you apply an even coat. I don't remember the name of the product (it's in the car) but it's a tall skinny can.... I'll try to get the can from the car later.

Did you use primer on the pieces first or no?

You did say you got it at pep Boys. So, I guess he doesn't have one near him. Hmm...

No, you don't need to prep or primer the pieces........ remember, it's dye not paint. All I did was wipe the dash with a damp cloth to make sure I got all the dust and dirt. That's it. Keep us posted and let us know how it turns out......
