Hey,

What I'm looking to do is mount bulbs within the air vents, and behind other places with cracks so it has a slight red glow/tint throughout the car. Is it best to use some kind of red bulb, or a bulb with red film where I want it to glow, or some kind of neons?

Go with either red neons or red LED's .
LED's should make the install alot easier drill a little hole in the ducting and pop it in

Best place to get them? Autozone? Ebay? Or what?

The only thing these need is power, right? Should I tap off of something else in the console or run a dedicated line?

 

they wouldn't take to much power so you can hook it up to anything wich is'n that important (lighter).
you might want ot make a switch for them too.
the best place to get them will be a wallmart since you wouldn't have ot pay shipping and you don't have to wait for them to come

 

I say get them from superbrightleds.com, they are like super cheap there.

 

Autozone just got a bunch of different kinds in they all mount different ways some come in packs of 4 I would go there if I were you...
