Ok guys I need to know a cheap but effective way of dying interor carpets. I have red interior seats/carpet and Im trying to dye them Black. I tried Rit fabric dye from walmart but they just turned purple. Then I tried that spray dye stuff from autozone but in order for it to work, it will take like 20,000 cans b/c I has to use 1 can for just about 1/2 of the back part of one seat. So do any of you guys know of a way that I can get these suckers black for cheap?

 

When I died my carpet I used Tintex to dye from carpet from tan to grey then I used the spray cans from Walmart (Dupli-color) was the brand. I took about 5 cans to turn the carpet black from grey. I don't think I know anything cheaper then the cans
