intake paint

While my LT intake is off i figure i will paint it. Any ideas how hot these things get? Im not sure what paint and if it needs priming. I have seen home powder coating kits. Has any 1 tried them?
Thanks for any suggestions.

How about engine enamel?

If you want to brush it on, how about using one of those brake caliber paint kits by G2. They'll take up to 950-degrees and come in several colors?

Powdercoating would be the best and most durable by far. I had mine powdercoated by SStrokerAce but it was painted with high temp engine enamel and lasted for 2 years with no chipping or cracking.....I didnt use any primer by the way.
