Question Instead of a bra, has anyone tried the clear

Instead of a bra, has anyone tried the clear *plastic* systems? All the sales propaganda sounds nice but I sure would like to hear from anyone having used it.

I have, it works really well. I paid $400 to have the dealer install it when I bough the car. It was expensive but it works really well. I'm actually looking at just buying some film to protect my fendors from rock chips. You can buy a 2x60 inch roll of the film from Napa for about $36? Search under Paint Protectant Film, you apply it the same way you apply window tint.

My car is black and you can barely see it. On a white/silver car it might be a bad idea if the films yellows with time.

It's clear coated so you take care of it the same way you take care of your paint. It's really tough stuff.

I've seen those advertied before. They said that it works well, but you will see the lines where the the plastic ends but it's hardly noticable. I think I might use it myself whenever I get my front facia and hood repainted.
