Hey guys, it seems really stupid for me to just have this in the lounge since this is usually the only section I visit.

I really need your support to get me on the Pick Up Artist. They are resetting the votes tomorrow (the 8th) for Round 3 and starting everybody from scratch (zero). The voting will end on May 10th, so I only have the 8th, 9th, and 10th to get as many votes as possible.

These next 3 days are going to be tough! It's like starting all over.

 

I liked that show. It was funny seeing the guys on there, I never knew someone like that. I dont mean to be ignorant, but I was always with those type of people that were getting some type action, and you Brangeta are a surprise to me, do you really want to be on that show? WHY?

MasterZ28-- I don't really understand your question 100%, so hopefully I'm answering what you want to know.

I suppose the main reason I want to be on the show is to learn what Mystery and the other guys have to offer. I didn't grow up having much male influence, so I didn't get lessons from dear old dad, and had too much acne to be very popular in highschool, so unless I was in class, I wasn't around any girls but my mom and sister. College was better since there was time between classes... but I never got anywhere with girls then either. Now that I'm working from home as a graphic designer, I'm really becoming a recluse and am having trouble getting out of that mode.

I feel like I need a class in attracting and maintaining relationships with women, because it isn't something I know how to do well, and it never works out. Some people have suggested I just read a book about it, and honestly, that wouldn't help me as much as being taught the lessons and getting forced to go out there and try the stuff out. Book smarts only carry you so far, and experience does more good; at least in my case.

Yeah I wasn't really asking a question. But you brought something up that makes you deserve to get on that show, not having some male influence but really working from home puts you more far away from getting some ******. i will be supporting you, and I really do hope you get on that show looks like fun. (i will get my gf and some of my friends to vote for you aswell) And just incase you do get on, dont act stupid like that one midle eatern guy from last season.

 

Hell I know a few guys who had plenty of male influences in their lives and are still reclusive. I am one of them to an extent, I have gotten better about it. I really hated stupid people for a long time, and it seemed like I was meeting more and more each day. I eventually started just staying at home, and only going out with long term friends.

Go out and do things that you like doing, eventually you will run in to someone there. Once you meet them, just start talking about things you like, and see if they bite. If they do, keep going. I've been there bud, take it from someone who knows what they are talking about.

The Captain-- I know exactly what you're talking about. It's just so easy to stay at home. It's so convenient. But it's like I'm wasting my life and I don't have the social experiences and skills to keep girls dating me (if they'll go out with me) and such. It's frustrating, and has been ever since I was 13.

From living a life at home, I'm having trouble figuring out what I do like to do outside of home, so that's difficult. I like car shows, but I've never made a close friend through any of them. Shock6906 on here is my closest car buddy, and I don't know him in person...

Since I drive a Corolla and the Z28 is my sister's and the SS is my mom's, it's hard to make Camaro buddies when you're not driving one except when your sister says it's cool to take her's. So if I win that $50k on the show, you can bet I'll be spending some of that on a Camaro.

 

Have you tried any of those online dating services? A few people I work with actually met their current spouses online thru sites like eharmony.com

Also, I greatly respect your decision to not Smoke and do drugs, but there is no shame in sitting back and enjoying a nice ice cold brew. Just don't binge drink and act like a drunken fool, a brew or two helps take the edge off. Good luck!

You know, the more I reveal these negative sounding aspects about me, the more uncomfortable I'm getting LOL. I'm starting to read them and give myself the wrong impression and I don't want you guys getting the wrong impression of me either.

So let me just say this first: I'm not a pathetic person looking for sympathy or someone who has a depressed outlook on himself or his life. I'm the same Brandon/Brangeta I've always been representing myself as being on here. It's not like I consider myself a pathetic loser in life or like I have some major geeky flaw or something. If I get on the show, you'll see what I mean. I need the lessons from someone who knows what he's doing (like Mystery) to just improve an aspect of my life. I don't need to pretend I'm someone I'm not, because the real me is a cool guy hahahaha.

Now... on with the show...

bond2-- Believe it or not, eharmony rejected me a few years ago! I answered their billions of questions, and after all that, they said they couldn't match me up with anyone! I even went back and changed some answers to be less selective and they still couldn't LOL! I dunno wtf is up with that. My mom filled out the questions too and got the same answer.

My deal with drinking is complex, because there are many reasons I don't, and a lot of it stems from having ADHD (the hyperactivity version of ADD). I think drinking would make me too impulsive, and I'm not sure what it would do to me. Things tend to have an opposite effect on me because of the ADHD. Ex: caffeine tends to calm me down instead of ramp me up, so when I go out, I have a cherry coke or Dr. Pepper. The caffeine still makes me wired/awake if I drink too many (I'm obviously human--it only affects one part of my brain different from everyone else), but it probably has a similar effect on me as what a couple of beers has on most guys. It calms me a bit, makes me loosen up, and makes my mouth yap yap yap a bit.

I'll probably one day drink wine when at special events, but otherwise I'm just not interested. My grandpa was an alcoholic, and drinking didn't seem to improve his life any.

I didn't end up getting chosen to be on the show. No biggie. I put a lot of time and effort forth, but I'm not bitter or hurt by it.

Here is what came in my email today:
"Thanks for checking in with me. They actually have selected all of the finalist as of last Friday, I'm sorry they did not pick you as a finalist. I will definitely keep your tape and info on file so I can possibly consider you for further shows. Thank you for all of your dedication to the show and getting all of your stuff in to us and participating with the online contest! "

It would have been fun to be on there, and it would have been a great learning experience, but I probably wasn't enough of a "character" to be on the show. I'm an interesting guy, but not a wacky character like one of the guys from the site that I heard got chosen:
