So the main guages take 4 #194 bulbs? What size are the backlights for the headlights/hvac controls? Thanks.

Hey guys, we're metric up here in Canada. 240 kilometers per hour = 150 mph. Get with it you dumb yanks.

A little off topic here, but can't resist. Personally, I think Canada should use the english measurement system (mph) just like the rest of the US national parks..

I would like to know what size bulbs to buy. That looks pretty good! Do I just buy the bulbs or do I need something else to make them fit in the sockets? Is there's a write-up on this?

Never found a writeup on this, I ended up removing the stock bulbs from the black plastic holders and carefully soldered the new bulbs in. Took some time and patience but worked out ok. If at all possible try to find someone that has done this mod and look it over in person. Digital camera pics tend to show up brighter than in reality, (at least mine did) and personally, what looks good on this board did not look good in real life.

No soldering needed. It's actually quite simple. All you need to do is buy the single LEDs from the website I gave you. Get your dash apart, take out the cluster, remove the old bulbs (these are soldered in and might be tricky to get out.... I broke most of the bulbs then pushed them out with a screwdriver), put the new LEDs in the sockets and bend each of the 2 wires so they touch the metal parts. You'll understand it when you take it apart and see it.

If you use the cheap colored 194 bulbs, yes it will look like crap. Mine look great, I used the single LEDs. Just don't make the same mistake I did... don't use LEDs in anything that blinks/indicates, like the check engine light, blinkers, high beams, etc.... they won't come on. You don't need LEDs in those anyway cause the plastic is colored.

Unless the newer fbodies come with a different plug, you would need to solder the bulb terminals to the cap. I tried what you described before and some of the bulbs lost their connection.

is there a bulb to get the needle red?
that website has wedge style and some twist ones, will either of those work?

wedge style.

the needle is already red/orange, and there isn't a bulb that lights it up... it just reflects the other light. It'll still be redish orange.
