Ideas to dress up/luxurize the interior of a Z
Ok, I am getting envy of newer cars, from infinity, and such of having such damn nice interiors, what can i do to make it more, um, rich/upscale looking/feeling.
Right now I have a tan interior, cloth, in a 93z.
Need pics/ideas if possible.

Do custom leather seats from www.leatherseats.com or www.katzkin.com ...
White face gauges, paint a few interior pieces and add some nice new custom floor mats like from Daniel's Auto Fashions
That's what I'm doing!

Leather!!!!!!! Also think about how you want it to look before hand. Different color combos., floormats, etc... I'm gonna do my 2000 in all white leather, white or blue carbon fiber and a audio/visual that will rival most European interiors. Just take ya time bro and think it out.

Look around on F-body boards...
There are pics floating around of a car that the owner had all of the interior plastic wrapped in leather. It looked like it could have been a stock luxury car interior. Didn't look cobbled up like I would have thought. They even did the entire stock console in leather.
To top it all off, they re-covered 4 C5 Vette seats and put them in front and rear.
You just gotta see the pics. Sorry I don't have links.

I'm in the process of doing this right now with my TA . If you want it more luxo/rich looking stay on the moderate side of things . Alot of time sublte touches can have a huge impact . Make sure everything flows/integrates well . With tan on selected areas of the dash a satin nickle type color would look great . But not overboard . Maybe do that color on the guage bezel ...meaning the bezel inside the guage cluster , the power window/door lock bezel (use 94-96 BLACK switches as opposed to the tacky imo light grey switches in there now ) and the shifter trim plate and keep it that . Sand the areas you piant smooth so theres no grain . Leave it a satin finish and not clearcoated and glossy . Lose the yellow dash lighting . Mimic the dash lighting off the new Audi's . Use a 94-95 guage cluster with Xenon clear bulbs so you have bright white numbers with red needles and make all the rest of dash light in bright red . The effect looks really sweet .
I'll have some pics of mine ina couple weeks . Theres still a few things I need to finish up like the radio/hvac bezel . You can get some ideas off that .......think Audi/Volkwagon like . Everything I did involved the dash vents , guages , color of backlighting for the dash and guages , the whole section the radio and hvac controls are and door panels , I still have the stock pontiac cloth seats . And I think the tweed 93-95 seats were pretty good looking seats , alot better than the mouse fur cloth they used after 96 .

On that note...
I've got a graphite leather interior in my car already. I'm not ready to chuck the back seats just yet but I wouldn't mind upgrading to Corbeau's in the front. Has anyone ever seen these seats leather-covered? Corbeau charges over $300 for leather, per seat
