I want to slam the car, info needed..

After seeing a few F-body's slammed I really want to drop mine- to the ground. I have no clue as to the way to go about doing this so I have come to you guys. I don't want to have any handling or susupension probelms that might hender my everyday driving or the car's ability to occasionaly drag race. I don't want to have the car bouncing everywhere, just the ability to get out and set it on the ground (or almost). I have seen air shock kits in catalogs like JC Whitney but most are truck applications. Would air shocks be the way to go? Do you guys know anyone who could offer any sites to look into? Thanks everyone for your help.

Hey, i got the sportline which is a 2 inch drop from Eibach. I am very happy. Its at the perfect ride height i think. Pics in the sig, just put up some new ones after the wash this morning. The handling only got better, some say its harder to launch once its lowered, havnt felt the effects of that what-so-ever. Its also a plus taking a big swooping on ramp in my area at 65. Good Luck.

Just wanted to add that these setups are typically very bouncy. Also the kits are referred to as "Air Bags" or "Bags".

The other option for a 3+ inch drop would be coilovers, but you won't be able to slamm it when you park it.

Thumbs up

GEES97TA: thank you for the kind words
What I think I'm looking for is something along the lines of what pu12en12g suggested. Thanks for the link buddy. I would like to lower permanetly but I'd rather not due to my headers and exhaust being so low. Thanks again everyone for the help, I\and I will try to give an update on the process as time goes on.

i would suggest going with an air setup.

you can try to get in touch with this guy

http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...iac%20Firebird

pretty cool stuff i don't know too much about air setups, i do know they are VERY popular in custom truck applications, and supposidly ride and handle better than stock setups

hope this helps,

steve

Thanks for the link on the yellow bird. I noticed on his site that he has the wheels tucked. I have 17" Eagle Alloy whees off of a Mustang (yep) with a set of wheel spacers. I bought the car with them on there and they looked good so I didn't chunk them. The wheel sticks out just a tad but doesn't look hideous. Would I have to tuck the wheels in in order to fully lower it to the ground?
