I have 18" regular chrome C6 rims without the rivets and am thinking about getting them painted like these ones in this auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/19-CO...pagenameZWD1VI have a pewter metalic 99 Camaro with black accents, this is the list of black accents I have berger panel, slp grill, carbonfiber nose emblem,black RS emblems, black calipers and soon I plan on painting my roof and a manta stripe on my ss scoop. I think the black on the rims would really tie it all in good and just want to get some opinions on what everyone thinks, im also wondering how good do you guys think the paint would hold up on the rims would it chip easily and be a problem down the road or should it hold up good. I would be getting them painted from the same shop that painted my car so it would be quality work.

I think they would look pretty sharp after being painted and if you have a shop that will stand by their work and do a good job, then I don't see any harm in it.

Thanks for the opinions. I decided not to paint them. The body shop said that they they would do it but they wouldnt reccomend it and wouldnt guarantee the work.

I think black wheels look awful in most cases. If you had them painted a magnesium color like this wheel, they might look nice.
