Good question! I was going to ask pu12en12g what bulb he's using in his. Mine look yellowish-orange compared to the Cuzo low beams...doesn't quite match up I'm not going to have to swap from regular to diamond clears to make them look right, am I?

I do remember seeing a post somewhere that he was running 27w bulbs there? And I thought the DRLs are 3057s?

I'm sure he'll reply here and help us out.

With the hyperwhite DRL's you have to be careful, since they are obviously plastic housings. This is also ILLEGAL so, DO THIS MOD AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I experimented with up to 100w in the regular (APC STYLE) clear corners, and have concluded that the key really is to start off with the diamond clears. You won't be trapping all the light withing the housing this way.

After the diamond clears, the key is to get JUST enough of a blue tinted bulb, to change the color temp. When doing this, you need to up the wattage, because as soon as you have a tint to the bulb, you are losing illumination. I recommend the Nokya / SPW 27w/7w as a example:

I honestly would have gone higher wattage if I could, so if you guys find a higher wattage 3157 bulbs let me know. I was also impressed by the CUZO bulbs that someone on the board has, but I think that the bulb choice is less important than the diamond clears.

Wiring is next... there are about 9 different combinations that I came up with when doing the DRL mod, and NONE of the online guides worked.

I had one setup which I thought was the brightest I could get... but then I changed how the ground-wire was run, and suddenly I got ALOT better output, and was also able to wire up the DRL's to my foglight switch. This allows me to not HAVE to have my DRL mod in effect if I don't want.

The point here I guess, is just use your head when wiring these things, or get someone that is good at relays/electronics etc.. to help you. I will eventually be putting the schematic of my wiring/ relay setup online...

I don't see how any wiring would be required???
with 3157's (those are 3157's right?), you just plug em in the bulb socket and drop it into your clear corner lens... am i missing something?

Also, I like my DRL's, so I don't care to wire them to the foglight switch or anything. So then all I need to do is buy those bulbs right? (where did you find them? how much)?

I got my clears from www.pacificie.com- had em over a year w/ no leaks, so hopefully they won't melt.

That only applies if your car has the BRIGHT DRL's STOCK

Mine didn't and most of the 1993-1996 ones didn't

I got the SPW/NOKYA brand, and I think they were $6 per bulb.
I would tell you where I got them, but the site I got them from doesn't deserve the business anyways...

There should be a better deal then that out there somewhere by now cuz I got these a long time ago...
