Since they are Stainless Steel, just use a very fine grit sandpaper to get as much shine as you want. Less work then polish.

Re: how to polish borla exhaust tips

just use some metal polish. If you want to you could take super fine steel wool to it and that would cut about anything off of it.

Re: how to polish borla exhaust tips

Polishing metal is easy- but time consuming.

Start with like 200-300 grit (rough casting like your water pump) and work through 400,600,800. Each time once the finish is uniform and smooth, moving up a grade. Then get some rouge (like brown for aluminum) and a polishing wheel from the hardware store and have fun. Then wash the part, get some white finishing rouge and another wheel. Dont mix more then one rouge on a wheel.

Then to keep it clean and such (borla already should be i think) use some metal polish as mantioned above.

Todd's writeup which I used and have pretty much the same results (I could fix my hair using my filler neck) http://groups.msn.com/Camaro2001SS/polishinghowto.msnw
