how to paint berger panel?
how to paint berger panel?
how should i paint my berger camaro piece?
i've got a back panel off another camaro, and its currently black.
the way i thought was the best way to do it is:
wash panel
sand panel to scuff it up (what grit?)
apply spraypaint primer
apply semi-gloss spraypaint
will this work and look good?

Re: how to paint berger panel?
I've been using spray paint to see what it will look like and it looks fine, But I am gonna be using real car paint. (ie: acrylic enamel satin black)
but spray paint will be fine use duplicolor low gloss black engine enamel.

Re: how to paint berger panel?
I used spray paint, came out fine. Sanded with 800 grit, Primered, laid down 3 coats of Satin Black, then one coat of clear (optional). You can see it in my sig.
Re: how to paint berger panel?
i've got some 400 grit to rough up the stock paint with, as well as some "automobile primer" from home depot, and some satin black spraypaint from home depot ...
man this is sounding ghetto lol
would it benifit me to sand it with something like 800 gritt between coats?

Couldnt hurt, I sanded the primer coats after they dried. Its a lot easier than you think, just go for it. Imagine how much ***** I had to sum up since I used my own panel, I was real scuuuuured.
