How much should it cost to get my front end clip painted?

The whole job should run between $350-$500, depending on inflation in your area. Keep in mind, after they paint the front nose, they are going to have to blend the fenders and hood so it all matches.

Does your car just have rock chips? Or is your clear coat also pealing? If your clear coat is pealing, GM warranties paint for 5 years and you could get it all fixed for free. I had it happen on mine, and my car was 3 months from being 5 years old. They repainted the entire front clip for nothing.
I have a lot of rock chips. What does it look like when the Clear coat starts to peal?

Oh god, I wish I had a digital camera, my car not only has achne from rock chips like a 14 year old teenage boy.

It's not a factory job though, the previous owner got in an accident, and there is a different front bumber and hood on it then it had from the factory. This is what I've found wrong with the paint on that area:
- Does not match
- the grille is painted green like the rest of the car instead of black like it's supposed to And that Is peeling off cuz they must now have sanded and primed it, just painted it green.
- They must not have sanded the whole thing in general, cuz you can see where it's scrapped under the bumber that the bumber used to be blue
- The thing chips if you look at it in a matter it does not see fit
- Clear coat? What's that?

Man, that really pisses me off, I'm gonna go with the dealer I baught it from hell tomorrow....

Silver is very hard to paint because it has shiny flecks in it that must go on evenly. My door was repainted and it's not exactly even. A friend told me that the factory has robots painting the cars and they can do it perfect. But it's very hard to do it right by hand with a spraygun. Just beware.

That sucks, Mine is Silver I'm going to ask around at local shops and see who does the best work. Are all Metalics that hard to paint?
