How much POR 15 should I buy?

How much POR 15 should I buy?

Im going to be buying some POR 15 when I redo everything under my car to get rid of all the rust. So Im wondering how much to buy? I want to do the entire underside of the car and some inside. Flood pans. ETC...

I found it online, Just yahoo.."POR 15"

Its like 135 a gallon

It would take alot of work to do the whole underside, whats the best way to apply it? could it be sprayed

u can spray it on or brush it on.... most opt to brush it on, do avoid overspray

if you brush it I could see it going a long way....if you brush it does it lay dwon flat like an oil paint?

a gallon covers 100 sq ft. so that should be more than enough

can't remember.... try searching for it.... i know a guy on the boards coated his entire under carriage with it.... he said it took a lot though....

just keep in mind they reccomend 2 coatings-

I painted the inside of a 62 impala bumper with that stuff. I ended up using about a quarter of a pint to do the whole thing. That was using a brush. It really does go a long way.

POR is awesome stuff just make sure you prep it exactly how it says. We did a whole chasis and looks bad ***. We sandblasted it down to metal though.
