How long did your rev. indiglo last?

I've had my reverse indiglo overlays now for almost a year, and yesterday I turn on my headlights and the reverse indiglos did not come on, I think they're done for, either that or my wire splice came loose (I did not solder). But I'm wondering how long these last, is a year for these normal? This bums me out, I'm saving up for other things...
