how do you remove the shift ****

dont shoot me just yet. I have looked over my shift know (automatic) and I cant seem to find any screws or anything to remove it ( I want a new shift **** for my car) do I have to scrap the old one? it looks like that way but I'm trying not to do that, I still keep all of the old stock parts in case I want to sell the car in the near future ( or I'm just a pack rat, its either or). well for those who replaced the shift **** every bit of advice is welcome.

if im correct it should still be the same on your 02 as on third gens. look on the side facing the radio and you will see a clip. get a pair of needle nose and or a VERY small flat head screw driver. pull it out as it will take little effort. it looks like a staple when removed. once this is out pop the **** off.
