How do these sponsorship pics look on my car?
How do these sponsorship pics look on my car?
Well, picked up 3 sponsors for my bracket racing hobby. Put on 2 sets of the vinyl so far - let me know what you guys think.

3 sponsors = Vortech SQ S-Trim & 42 lb injectors.
Shooting for 3 more sponsors 1 being a rim shop (Woohoo), the vinyl graphics shop and another nightclub.
Whoring out my car
Gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes.

Re: How do these sponsorship pics look on my car?
If it's strictly a racecar, it's not too bad. If it's a show/racecar, it looks like crap. The stickers look slapped on there. For my sponsors, I like to run them either down the fender, down the rear window or trunk lid, or along the rocker. But it they are BIG sponsors ($$$) then I can understand the big stickers though.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck getting sponsors. I managed to get 30 companies to sponsor my Chevelle. (My Renderings=Teh Sponsors)

Yeah, sorry, definately does not compliment the car. I say go to a good sign shop and get some custom writing with an outline or drop shadow or anything. I had mine made up with the name of the dealership with part of a checkered flag attached at the end and a Chevy bowtie in front of the name. There are soooo many options out there. You have a nice car and can compliment it's looks if you do it right. If you're still not sure, take some pics of race cars at the track that have nice writing on them to get ideas then go from there.

Re: How do these sponsorship pics look on my car?
The sponsor provided the vinyl - too be honest - they could put daffy duck on the car for all I care. The car, thanks for the compliments on it but, needs painted very badly so this final 6 months of decals aren't going to take too much away yet yields me a Vortech supercharger and 42 lb injectors.
Now i'm close to having 3 more sponsors that will net a set of rims (Pro stars or convo pros), possibly a 12bolt rear, and more money.
I do appreciate the feedback, that's what I asked for, so thank you. Personally I can live with it not complimenting the car or looking bad in some peoples eyes. With my financial situation right now, I couldn't afford a blower, rims, and other goodies that these guys are supplying me with so I had to jump on the chance.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. If they are supplying the vinyl, wouldn't they want the writing/graphic that is representing them to look the best it could possibly look?? Well, anyway... good luck and congrats on the sponsorships!
Re: How do these sponsorship pics look on my car?
Sorry didn't mention - not a daily driver. I have another vehicle for that - although the camaro is on the street quite a bit I don't use it for everyday transportation.
Drive it to the track and local stuff etc...
First year for the sponsorship so this is a trial run so to speak. We can do more advanced stuff if we continue on with this. Right now we are concentrating on getting the car up to date and running well.
Thanks again for the feedback - good or bad - it's feedback. Wouldn't have asked for it if the responses would bother me.

LOL - you have to keep in mind these are local "small" businesses - Notice no Goodyear, BFG, or any other "Major" companies are on the car?
These are friends of mine that own small businesses - not sure what you mean by 'in that condition'? The car isn't falling apart - it just needs upgrades to continue to beat on it.
I get the sense that you don't like the sponsors - cool. But why? In my current financial situation I think i've done myself a great service by coming up a solution to support my hobby. As it stands I would have to take next year off on buying parts - so this benefits my family.
Yeah - it's not a professional job - never anywhere did I claim it to be, it's a sponsorship from small businesses in a smallerish city. We're having fun with the car - simple bracket racing - no National events etc... so why put $1k in stickers on the car???
Not sure why you, just you, continue to bash the car - i'm lost. I asked for opinions - stating the reasons for having the sponsorship, not a daily driver, etc... your starting to seem like a very jealous person. There's nothing to be jealous or envious about.
You don't like the vinyls - no problem - thanks for the opinon. Note - my name isn't John Force, Cruz Pedregon, etc... personal businesses, simple bracket racing, etc...

Re: How do these sponsorship pics look on my car?
'Nother note - I never asked for this post to be put into the "pretty boy" section - I had it in the drag race section for a reason. This is not a show car by any means or stretch of the imagination.
This post does not fit in with this section and it's 5k paint jobs, 20" rims and fancy body kits.
Sorry that it was moved here - bad decision. It belongs in with people that race their cars regularly, not once every 2 years.

Vortech V2 SQ S-Trim and 42lb injectors for those 'ugly' stickers. IMO - not too bad of a deal?
A rim shop is offering me a set of race rims - my choice w/ tires. I'm not going to pass that up either.
Anybody can do what I did too - if you are in the boat that i'm in currently (wife about to quit job to go back to school, house payment, 2 car payments 3 kids) then i'm sure that some of you would do the same. I simply approached small businesses and made a presentation - simple. Some declined 3 happened to jump on board with a few others mulling it over.
If a company handed you the exact type of vinyl stickers and asked that they remain on the car for 1 year of racing and agreed to buy you a supercharger or 12 bolt or tranny, stroker motor, etc.... I get the feeling that some would 'not take it' because they don't look good?
I'd love to have money like that where I didn't have to sweat spending the amount that I received for advertising. Must be nice.

Re: How do these sponsorship pics look on my car?
He asked for an opinion...yes or no...pretty simple and petty insults are not really needed.
About getting sponsored...he has went out and got some people to actually give him cash in hand. Until you actually try to get someone else to give you money to spend on something...don't be knocking.
About pricing on the stuff...it is a mute point.
