How do I safely remove the grille?

I want to remove the grill to take off the god awefull looking licence plate bracket but want to remove it from behind the beacket if that works better. The bracket is rivited to the grille.

from what I understand...you just have to hold it firmly with both hands and yank. I've NEVER done it though...so don't hold me to it. I know this was talked about about a month ago...and there was a definitive answer found...I guess just search it out.

Just yank it out. I was skeptical at first, but you really have to pull on it hard to get it out. It feels like your gonna pull the whole frontend off, but you wont. Good Luck!

I think the discussion before was about the grill insert, not the license plate bracket, though I could be wrong. I removed my grill insert by removing the front fascia. There are three nuts and three push on fasteners that hold it on. I imagine you could just pull it off, but I was taking fascia off anyway.
