How do I lose weight with the carpet?

Do I just need to take the paddng out from underneathe or do I need all new carpet?

Any help is appreciated. Any ways I should go about doing it? it seems pretty straight-forward to get it out.

I have a friend that recently took out his interior, though he put it back. But the sound deading stuff is actually part of the carpet rather than a separte part. I forgot where, but some do sell carpet with no sound deadning on it or you can take your time trying to get that off the carpet.

Re: How do I lose weight with the carpet?

I suppose you could take it out and jog around the block a few times with it on your back???

Sorry man, I had to...plus it's Friday...

Depending on how serious you want to get with it...you could just pull the carpet all together and leave it out...
Are you doing this to meet weight limit in Auto-X or something? I have seen some guys that have completely pulled their carpet and then finished the floorpan out to look good...examples - A Black '93 Pro Street Camaro with smoothed floor pan painted gloss black - or a Pro Street Black '66 Chevy II with a polished aluminum inner firewall and smoothed gloss black floor pan...

You could do something like that...and it looks very very nice! But that is a bit extreme, and you would have to keep some kind of smooth backed floor mats in there to keep it from getting scratched. Just a thought for you though.

I definitely want carpet. Just looking for a cheap easy way to lose some wieght. Every little bit helps and since I dont have much money, it gives me a reason to work on the car too.

Maybe new carpet. My carpet is not what it use to be.

Anyone know where to get carpet that does not have sound deadener? All I can find is it with it combined already.

Has anyone ever just removed the deadener from their existing carpet?

I am trying. The front sway may be going, the A/C, and i am sure I can find more aka the glovebox, center console, and might as well get rid of the steering wheel too.

Fack my car up by doing what? Removing the sound deadener? If you think I was serious about all the other stuff then good luck to you. I am NOT removing the glove box etc. lol

It isnt a big deal for me. It is not a daily driver and I am sure I wont get much more noise than I already have.
