Im a member on a couple other car forums and the topic "rice" is soo stupid, theres no way to judge someone and say there "rice" everyone has there own taste, and opinions! I say do what YOU like and not what everyone else likes!! its your car!!

How did you do the hood vent thing, did you drill out the holes or just cut the entire vent out. I want to do some thing like that.

 

but you dont have a hood with hood vents do you vaga van? Or are you thinking of getting an SS hood or UltraZ hood or somthing like that?

 

Cerwin, i drilled out all the little holes on the black insert thingy, then behide that i took a dremal and cut the backout, then mounted the neon back there under the hood

Because neons are a lemming trend embraced by the ricers, but I thought F-body owners were above that. The appearance section used to be almost exclusivly wheels, hoods, paint, and the occasional wing. Now it's about flashy raver Christmas lights.

Oh well, it's your lack of taste and tack, em, um... I mean it's your car.

 

Like i said, everyone has there own opinions, just because we have neons doesnt make us "rice" I mod my car for myself, NO one else, if someone else doesnt like it , i dont give a ****

Can you honestly say that if you were the only person on earth, that you would put things like underbody neons on your car? No, you do it because you think other people think it looks cool, and Im sure you like it too...
When I do things to my car I do it because I want to have one of those camaros that makes you turn your head when you pass it, drop your jaw and say sweet!! Ive seen some that make me do it, and I guess Im part of that group of the suttle muscle car, right down to business look...just mean and clean... but if thats the kinda crew that you want to make and go "oooo" then do it...

 

I would have to agree that I mod my car so OTHERS will look at it. Not to say I dont enjoy it myself but I do agree with you RenzorZ28.

HOwever look at it like this. The appearence mod trend we see today definatly started with so called " Ricers" But Is being embraced more and more by younger car owners like myself as a "Style" regardless that I have an F-Body. While you find our neons gawd awful ugly, we find your " Monotone" style tasteless.
NO offense intened here but look at it this way. You might like Bellbottom jeans with boots and brown chekerboard shirts. To us that is so 70's and old and ugly. We liek to wear baggy jeans and pull over tommy hilfigure shirts with big thick belts and a pair of Lugz on the feet and pimpin with the white golf hat with a nike logo on the front. So you think we are " Thugs" or tastless little kids. Well I see alot more people with tommy shirts on and neons onder the car with a dvd player in the dash then I do bellbottomed old guys with a " PLIAN" looking trans am.

I must remind you that you are the minority in car appearence, the Appearence Trend is changing, dont you know that the youth of america will take over? Eventually we( us younginz) will be old grey headed people with Neons on our cadillac Escalade while the young guys are like EWWWW that is so ugly, Yet they have GLow in the dark door pannels and balloons stuck in the front grill with monster truck tires on a civic.

Dont hate us " NEW AGE HOTRODDERS "( RIcers dont drive F-bodys) We have jsut as much right to like what we do, just as much as you hate it.

Please do not take offense to any of this, I am just trying to point out how ONE sided you are being towards the younger generation. Age does not make your opinions better than ours.

Sure, I customize my car the way I want, but I don't want to hear an earful from people saying, "That Camaro looks like ****!!!" (I get my Firebird called that all the time)

Sure, you may be "different" and "unique", but while you keep saying that to yourself, everyone else is laughing at you behind your back.

Back to the topic: I never cared for underbody lights, but I think some interior lights look good, as long as the entire interior doesn't look like Las Vegas (some do!!)

 

If we did stuff to our cars to make everyone else like them we wouldn't be driving camaro's we would all have honda's

 

Hahah, this cracks me up. First of all, one guy said that they are pointless(neons), so why have them?

A power seat is pointless, why have it? The camaro decals are pointless, why have it? Wearing a watch is pointless, why have it? All of these things deal with what people want, and to each their own. I just inherited my new camaro from my brother, and got a new exhaust put on and painted some of the interior. I haven't heard one comment yet about it being bad, only good comments. But why, I didn't need it! Still, I enjoy it and thats all that matters. If you don't like someones car or their idea, don't stare at it like the ultimate POS, keep your opinions to yourself unless you can say them in a nice way.

I see ricers all the time here in Texas, and i am confident to say they are RICERS. I don't laugh at their face, because I don't disrespect people like that.

 

why leave your car looking stock, then it wouldnt be much to look at. If you went to a car show it would be boring, I love seeing what other people do so I can get ideas and modify a little to
make it different. I bought konig rims does that make me a ricer.
If I am I dont give a fu**, because my car looks sweet and sure the hell isnt like the camaro you see pass you everyday. man
