Ok here is the deal all, i am looking for a hood, that i can get that looks a little more aggressive than the SS hood. I like that style i just want something more aggressive. Any Suggestions.....

Also my car is a 2000 Z28 Maroon, what color should i paint the hood scoop??

 

I was gonna say Z-Roc, but I don't believe they have them for 98+ ?

 

If you like the ss hood but want to find somthing more agressive do what im going to do and look in the the vfn 3 in ss hood. the thing looks mean and has the great styling. its what i am saving up for. vfnfiberglass.com

 

do you know if that hood could be made functional.

the first mods i want to add, are cold air induction, maybe a new hood, hooker long tube headers, and maybe a lid..

 

I like my SLP Ultra Z hood, i didnt really like it alot until i first saw it on my car which was also the 1st time i seen it in person. It also has a 10X better ram air delivery then the SS hood... Upu can reach into the scoop and touch the filter... And i dont know how on earth the SS scoop get the air to the filter seeing its location... But yea, i think the Ultra Z hood is all that... Apperance wise both the ultra Z and SS looks good, most people tend to faver the SS hood... I got the ultra Z becaus noone else has one, and im also happy about the ramair feature..

 

I would suggest the "Ultra Z" hood. I would like to go that route one day myself.

Go look at their hoods they have some of them. We have the Z style hood on our car.

 

Yea im getting the zroc hood, its pretty badass, not sure if they make it for ls1's either

 

i've always liked the SS hood on 98+...but its all what u like

 

ok so then what color should i paint it? i am thinking maybe silver, or gray, or black, for the part leading up to the scoop
and possibilly the scoop itself too.

doesn anyone know about the RK sport ss style hood, any good remarks about it?
