i have an aftermarket hood and it hits my k&n cold air kit when i close it and the driver's side of the hood sticks up about a half an inch too high. i was wondering if hood pins would fix this?

if so, where should i mount them ?

My CAI intake also makes my hood sit up a little bit, not really an inch (same hood)

One of my buddies has his hood pins setup right behind the headlights.
