I am almost 100% definite on getting the carbon fiber big block hood from DGM. My question is should I leave it unpainted entirely or paint the entire hood minus the scoop area? The car is going to stay black in color, so it wouldn't be a huge contrast if the hood stayed unpainted.

Personally, my fantasy was always to get a carbon fiber hood then have it painted in a way that there'd be carbon fiber stripes and the rest of the hood would be the body color...

 

With that hood I'd do all black except for a centerline stripe.

I like that hood...I think it would look Great on my hubby's car I want the regular SS hood on my car...though I think this one would look good on my car too....decisions...decisions...

 

I agree with what some of the other members are saying about painting most of the hood, but leaving some carbon fiber visable, such as the whole scoop, the vertical sides of the scoop, or the center part leading up to the intake of the scoop. Make the carbon fiber into a styling touch rather than the whole hood. That definately gets my vote. Good Luck.
