home made DRL's
home made DRL's
hey guys, i used this site to make some DRL's, but problem is, mine are lighting hte low side of the element when i have the switch on, and the high side with my headlights/parking lights on. Also, my turn signals only work when the headlights/or parking lights arent on..im puzzled, i think that maybe he has osme of the wrong colors doing things, but it really makes me mad cause ive been doing it for 2 hours now in the rain cause i wanted them done, and that i spent $35 on stuff to do it with. Can someone tell me how to make them work right before i rip all the stuff out and wire back up the way it was orginally?? please help guys
Wow, summer is here, and I see a lot people are getting DRLs installed in their cars. I would recommend getting this kit. It's what I bought and I had a local performance shop around here install it. It works perfectly, like the newer camaros/firebirds/corvettes. I love it!

Bummer, I'm sorry to hear that. Just use the kit from the link I posted above. That'll work perfectly fine. Here's a picture of mine when I first got it done, though, of course they look MUCH better in real life: http://www.basicintellects.com/~geo/DSCN0036.JPG
Best of luck!

Edited....
There is an instruction page on that site that jwar linked too showing that DRL Module he bought...
I would guess that it is nothing more than a relay?
Just don't know that $36 is much better than the trouble...especially if Paul will get the wiring posted.

It comes with the little box thingy that makes it work, the connectors, some wire, and a business card that my local shop threw away
It basically comes with everything you need to make it work. You'll get the same thing when its shipped.
I, of course, being the retard that I am, I don't know anything about schematics, wiring, etc. So I took mine to a local performance shop and they did it for me.
[Edit] Oh shazbot, the instruction link didn't work. Go to that site, and on the bottom left, click on "Online Instructions." Then click on the Daytime Running Lights link.
