Help w/ Stripes please

I recently had Vinyl stripes put on my camaro. These were professionally done because I specifically wanted to avoid this kind of thing. When you look at the stripes at one angle their great. But at another angle there are scratches all over them from when he was getting the liquid out from underneath them. What can I do, if anything? Can you get them out?

You can try buffing out the scratches but I doubt that will work.

If they were "professionaly" done by a shop and they charged you like they were professionals then take it back to them and ask them to either fix the stripes or buy you more and re-do it.

When you pay professional prices you expect professional work... at least I do. However, if you paid Joe Blow $5 to put them on then it might be kinda hard to complain to him. However, if you paid good money then you deserve to have them done properly... at their additional expense if need be. IMO of course

I put my own stripes on to avoid that problem.

I don't think you can do anything about the scuffs though.

What kind of stripes did you get?

Use a very light "swirl remover" like Meguires (#9). Then you can go over them with a polish/glaze (i.e Meguires Showcar Glaze #7). This worked/works for me and I too have black premium vinyl. Nobody ever complains about my finish when they are complimenting it!!!

It doesn't hurt to wax and/or polish them every once in a while. Some people actually have them cleared over.

Buffing your car does help but then you get wax along the border of the stripes and it won't go away until you wash again.
