Angry Help, popping noise when I open my door is driving me nuts!

OK so ever since I brought my car it has always heard this annoying pop noise that I woud hear every time I would open the passenger side door. I figured what the heck you know, older Chevy's did do that sometime. I thought maybe greasing the door and had some ideas that I tried but nothing seemed to work. So I'm like what the crap you know. Well, one day I noticed one part on the door and on the front fender panel where the paint had rubbed off. Well, that is when I tried a little experiment. I open the door and watched that part and sure enough it did some thing like a small popping like motion.

Well, I'm not sure if anyone can notice it on the pic but you can see the small I guess you call an indent line that runs under the Z28 symbol is misaligned with the door. The rest of the car is fine it is just that front fender on the passenger side is misaligned. I was wondering does anyone know any possible way to fix this? It really bugs me and it serves no point to paint the car with a problem like that.

Thanks for the help,

Chris

I had the same problem on my car I don't know how it started I didn't hit anything. You know what I did to fix it? I gave a good yank on the bottom of the front fender pulling it towards the wheel and voila fixed. Simple as that, this was like a year ago and no popping since

my car does same thing.....appears the door is sagging....the hinge is apparently pulling from the body or something its annoying as hell.....brought it to a bodyshop year ago and said they fixed it....worked fine...then i reallized they added washers to space the door and then notched with a cutoff wheel a grove where the latch hits on the door itself so now it doesnt miss the latch.... i was mad to say least when i saw this but by time i realized it they closed....wonder why

I thought I was the only one that had this problem. When my car was delivered, the fender was cracked! It still did it after the fender got replaced. It got worse when it was hot and sunny out.
