Re: hella wiring
#30, 85, 87 are all numbers on the relay.
Just use the wiring harness that comes with the FF75's all the way up to the point of where it goes through the firewall basically.
That's where you'll have to connect the two harnesses together.
You have to connect the power in side of the Hella harness to the power out side of the stock harness.

Re: hella wiring
relays are those small little colored things inside your dash? or is that something else? so i can basically just replace the stock wires with the new ones and thats it? do i have to do any other mods to it? like also use that big blue thing it came with that looks like a house outlet plug

Re: hella wiring
The relay is the big blue house outlet plug. I am saying use it. Use the ENTIRE Hella wiring harness from the point where it goes up the switch the supply with their kit. Only insted of their switch, tie into your stock switch.
The things in the dash are fuses.

Re: hella wiring
Just use the wiring harness they supply with each set.
So that would be 3 relays.
Their harness is made for plug and play use.

This goes for every set of 2 housings you use. You take the harness ends with their connectors, and plug them into the H7 bulbs in the housings. Then you take the relay they supply and plug it into the harness. You then take the little blue connectors you see (called splice connectors) and splice into you factory wiring close to your switch at the firewall. You throw their switch away. If you do this, then when you switch on your factory switches, the Hella's will come on. Just find the correct wire leads in the main bulky harness out of the firewall and splice into them (don't cut them in half, just splice into them).

Re: hella wiring
how long do you think it'll take to do just the headlights? and will it still work without changing the harness for a week, because ill have only like 2 hours in shop in my votech class... and if i dont change the harness i still have to change the relays though right? are the fogs lights harder to do, and are they hard to mount?
thanks
thanks
Re: hella wiring
If you are going to do it in 2 seperate installs (1 install for the headlights themselves basically, then 1 install for the harness) I would do it like this:
Install the headlights like you are supposed to as far as mounting etc.
Then instead of using ANY of the Hella supplied harness parts, just cut you some leads out of some 14 AWG wire and put some female end connectors on them and plug them onto the backs of the H7 bulbs and splice them into the stock headlight harness where the bulb connector is. I wouldn't wire up anything else. BUT, you should only use a 55w bulb this way. (That's what comes in the FF75's).
Then, when you get ready to do it right, just take off your leads from the stock harness, tape up your cut in the wire coating, and put the Hella harness on correctly, relay and all.
I'd do the fog's the same. They are only harder because the wiring harness is harder to hide. Mounting will be your personal preference.
