headlight spring.

I've replaced both my headlights in the last couple of months and both times the spring that holds it in place has been so stretched out that it is pointless to even try to re-use it. Right now my drivers side headlight points about 3 feet too high because of this. Anybody else ran into this problem and whats the best fix? I haven't been able to find a part # either. It's getting extremely annoying. There is essentially nothing holding the lights in place.

For '93-'97 Camaro, correct? The two springs on each side?

There's several hex or whatever screws that control the angle of the lights. Have you tried adjusting those?

Don't know if this is what you'll need, but found these while randomly browsing ebay for cheap Camaro parts.

It was a single spring in the middle of the light that attached to the bottom and the other end attached to the backing plate behind the light. The spring was so stretched that it was impossible to reuse and that was what essentially held the headlight in place. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow, but it might be tough to show since the spring is no longer there.

No, this spring attached to the housing itself. I probably should have opened the housing and replaced the light instead of removing it all, but I didn't and that's where the problem lies.

You should be able to get this spring from a Junk Yard, may have to take the whole light bucket. The Dealer should also have them, but will often tell you they don't, because they just don't want to bother. Auto Parts may have them in the "Help" section or you may be able to match it from the universal spring box.
The most likely reason it's stretched out is because you cranked the vertical light adjuster screw all the way in.
