hazed headlight fix

hazed headlight fix

we got this new headlight restore kit at work and wow best 20 bucks i spent in a while saved me 200. It is a 3m product number 39008. Oriellys carrys this or can order for you. I also painted the inside of the lights while at it.

I tried one of those kits, and I had better luck just wetsanding them and using plastic polish. No before pictures, but here is what they came out afterwards (I did the "Whistler" mod too):

Did you try wetsanding them? There's a couple really good write-ups. Some people have even fixed lights with cracks in them.

yeah i tried the permatex kit help very little it was wet sanding. Like i said we got this new kit in that you use with a drill and well you can see the results yourself. Mine were so bad i was going to just buy new ones but we order this kit in and it was only 10 bucks for me due to employee discount and 20 for reguler walkin.

I tried one of the kits that you wet sand by hand. It came with 3 different grits of paper and a bottle of plastic polish. It didn't work. Mine weren't as bad as yours though...they only had a little hazing. I'm betting a kit that attaches to a drill or similar high speed device would do a better job on mine.

that kit that you wet sand on thats the one i tried and didnt work this one you dont wet sand until the last stage before buffing
