I have to replace the headliner on my 1994 Z28 with T-tops. I'm having problems removing the two plugs from the clothes hanger hooks in the back.
This is as far as I could get the plugs out and I was even pulling on this one as hard as I could with pliers. Is there a little piece I need to press to get it to release?

Same thing with the center piece in between the T-tops. Pulled down as hard as I could and it only loosened about a 1/4 inch.

I don't want to damage anything or tear anything up if I can help it. My interior is in really good shape.

Any tips from anyone?
